Oita Airport Renamed "Hello Kitty Airport" in Sanrio & Oita Tourism Campaign

Sanrio Entertainment and Oita Prefecture have launched a campaign to attract visitors to the Osaka-Kansai Expo 2025, renaming Oita Airport as "Oita Hello Kitty Airport." 🏯 The initiative features Sanrio character panels for commemorative photos and decorative flags inspired by local products like kabosu. 🚌 To enhance accessibility, 18 daily buses will connect Oita Airport, JR Kitsuki Station, and Harmonyland from August to November. Sanrio aims to promote Oita’s hot springs, cuisine, and culture through this collaboration, strengthening tourism ties.
